A Late Night Stroll is a short, somber, barely-a-game that I made in a couple of days for the Black & White Jam. This minute-long browser game depicts a crudely sketched scene of two characters walking in a forest.
I drew the assets (trees, grass, stars) in Photoshop, each one consisting of three frames. Then, in-engine, I embraced the forbidden graphic design practice of freeform scaling. It's art.
The project received rave reviews, with critics celebrating that "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to get out of this" and "the game can be interpreted however I guess." I am so proud of what I was able to express with this project in such a short development time, and I am delighted my vision was crystal clear.
